First of all, congratulations on your engagement!
The day should feel like yours.
You want beautiful photographs. But not at the expense of actually enjoying your wedding.
You care about the feeling of the day. The people, the atmosphere, the moments you’ll want to remember long after it’s over.
You want to feel relaxed in front of the camera. Present with your guests. Fully yourselves.
Not rushed through endless posing or pulled away from the people you love.
Just a wedding that feels warm, personal and true to you, with photography that quietly captures it as it naturally unfolds.
That’s exactly how I approach weddings.
“From start to finish Elis was superb... he put us completely at ease.”

Your photographer
I create modern, unposed wedding photography for relaxed couples, from my base in Dorking and across the UK.
I believe weddings are for living, not performing. It’s one of the only days you’ll have everyone you love in one room, and you should get to be in the middle of it.
My work blends quiet documentary storytelling with light, natural guidance. Warm, honest images with a gently cinematic feel.
To me, this isn’t just about delivering beautiful photos. It’s about helping you stay present for the day itself, and giving you a way back to how it felt.
Before photography I spent a decade in engineering and strategy consulting. Those years taught me to stay calm under pressure and quietly handle the moving parts before anyone notices, which turns out to matter a lot on a wedding day.
“He was so unobtrusive, it just felt like he was another friend there on the day. He made us feel at ease and totally supported, and made us confident to trust him with capturing the day so that we could just enjoy it and focus on being present...
And the photos themselves, wow. They are a total joy, a real reflection of the feel of the day we’d worked so hard to plan.”

It starts before the wedding. We get clear on your people, your priorities, and how you want the day to feel, so on the day I already know what to look for. Then:
Portraits in two short slots, around 10 to 15 minutes each. No forty-combination group-shot marathon. You spend the day with your guests, not with me.
No shot lists, no rigid posing. Gentle direction when you need it, then movement, conversation, connection. Most couples who warn me they’re “so awkward” surprise themselves.
Parents, grandparents, old friends, the in-between moments you were too busy living to notice. I photograph the full story of the day, so you get to see the parts you couldn’t.
“Many of the guests remarked on how at ease he made them feel.”

And it starts before the day, with a relaxed consultation, a thoughtful questionnaire, and a pre-wedding call, so nothing important gets missed.
“The photos he took were amazing, and we have printed and framed far more than we thought we would.”

Because I work closely with each couple, shaping the day around what matters most, I only take on 30 weddings a year. Once those dates are gone, that’s it.
Saturdays from May to September tend to go first, so if your date is coming up, it’s worth checking now.
